Welcome to Fihtus by Ryeones
Thoughts and musings of a creative ambivert figuring out his 20s.
Hey there, friends!
Fihtus is a little space I’ve created to reflect, share, and connect with you. It’s not about sticking to a strict schedule—it’s about showing up when there’s something worth sharing. Whether it’s a lesson, a thought, or a moment of clarity, you’ll find it here.
That said, I’ll aim to send this out on Sundays at either 9am or 9pm. The idea is to start the following week with something meaningful, whether it’s a spark of inspiration, a question to ponder, or just a moment to pause. If we’re friends in real life, maybe it sparks a conversation. If not, maybe it feels like a letter from a friend you haven’t met yet.
Fihtus is all about growth, vulnerability, and letting life unfold as it is. Sometimes it’s messy, sometimes it’s profound, but it’s always real.
Let’s see where this journey takes us. 😊
⚡️ Quick Rundown:
What is “Fihtus”
Why now all of a sudden?
What to expect in each edition
🌱 What is Fihtus?
Fihtus is a play on the word fetus, inspired by a time when we lived unapologetically. A time when emotions weren’t filtered, actions weren’t calculated, and joy came effortlessly from being in the moment.
That’s the energy I want to recapture here—the rawness, the curiosity, the freedom to explore and just be. This newsletter is about navigating life in our 20s and beyond, embracing the mess, and finding clarity in the chaos.
🌀 Why Now?
If you’ve been following me on TikTok, Instagram, or my digital garden, you know I’ve been documenting my journey in bits and pieces. But as I approach a new chapter (turning 25 on 11 Jan!), I’ve realised it’s time to dig deeper.
I’ve spent so much of my life afraid to start, worried about failing, and letting perfectionism hold me back. But this year, I’m committing to letting go of that fear. Fihtus is my way of holding myself accountable—to create, to share, and to grow, even when it’s uncomfortable.
📝 What to Expect in each edition
Every edition will have a mix of personal stories, reflections, and actionable takeaways to help us all move forward. Here’s what you can look forward to:
💬 Thought or Quote of The Week
A reflection, quote, or insight to spark introspection and meaningful conversations.
⚡️ Quick Rundown
A bite-sized summary of the week’s theme—no fluff, just the good stuff, in case you don’t have time to read the entire newsletter
⭐️ 3 Truths I’m Learning
Personal lessons I’ve picked up that might resonate with you too.
🎯 Actionable Steps
Realistic, practical tips to implement in your own life (or at least what i’ve tried)—because growth only happens when we take action.
🤔 One Question for You
A thought-provoking question to help you reflect and explore your own journey.
🪴 Growth Notes
Curated resources, tools, or discoveries I’ve found inspiring, from books to podcasts to practices.
✍️ Community Spotlight
This is your space too. I’ll feature your thoughts, questions, or reflections in future editions.
💬 A Quick Personal Note
If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably spent countless nights wondering if you’re doing life “right.” Maybe you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure about where you’re heading.
And I think that’s okay. I would like to think so at least.
I’ve come to realise that the journey is rarely linear, and sometimes, just taking the next step is enough. Through Fihtus, I hope to create a space where we can navigate these questions together—where it’s okay to stumble, to start over, and to figure it out as we go.
🚀 What’s Next?
This is just the beginning. Moving forward, I’ll be sharing everything from navigating the uncertainties of my 20s, any particular interests or things I’ve found helpful or documenting projects that I intend to embark on in public.
I’d love for this to be a two-way conversation. If you have thoughts, questions, or just want to say hi, hit reply to this email or DM me on Instagram
Together, let’s rediscover the freedom to live, create, and grow unapologetically.
See you in the next edition!
x, Ryan
